As your REALTOR®, we get paid in three ways: First, the listing company has a contract with the seller who agrees to pay a sales commission. The listing company then offers a “co-op” fee for whoever brings the buyer for the home. When you hire a REALTOR® consultant, you agree to pay their company a percentage of the homes’ sale price. Second, we get paid a referral fee by REALTORS® in other cities whenever we assist a client in finding a REALTOR® consultant in a new town. These referral fees may also be paid by relocation companies when we are assisting a local client in relocation to another city. Finally, and most importantly, we get paid through your introducing us to friends, family members, neighbors, co-workers and anyone you know who may have a real estate need.
